El Espartano

Most of the carpets manufactured by El Espartano are made of wool, a natural and renewable product that comes from sheep grazing in one of the most beautiful areas of Argentina.

El Espartano assures recycling of raw material, extending the cycle of utility and guaranteeing maximum benefit of natural resources with minimum environmental impact.

El Espartano supports sustainability promoting measures aimed at specific ways of putting into practice norms of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED).

Among other qualities, the carpets manufactured by the company contribute creating a healthier environment in each of its clients homes, offering greater isolation and avoiding aerial pollutants.

Today El Espartano has put into practice a recycling system of the postindustrial surpluses of spinning. Carpets with designs and colors were specially developed to use the spinning surpluses from different productive processes. This way El Espartano reduced considerably the amount of textile surplus sent to sanitary fillings. However the spun yarn that no longer can be reused are shredded and recycled as raw material for manufacturing new yarns.

The company strategy in the near future, as well as in the long term, is to continue training its employees regarding sustainable production guidelines, raise clients awareness on the necessity of adapting their requirements to nowadays environmental reality and to work to safeguard resources benefiting the international community.
